THE DAILY PROGRAM Each class at the pre-school is taught by a qualified teacher who is assisted in the classroom by an aide. Daily schedules are flexible and may vary from day to day. During the two hours and thirty minutes the children are in pre-school, they participate in very interesting and lively activities. Every morning there is "free play" or "choice time" when each child may engage in whatever activity he or she desires. Daily lessons or units of study are taught along with art or craft lessons, cooking, music, finger play and action songs, and story time. Children also enjoy the "riding room" where they may ride tricycles and play on gym equipment. Snack time each day is an important time. The children may bring a special birthday treat, if desired. Also, throughout the school year parents may be asked to donate some portions of the treats for various holiday parties. We encourage parent participation and suggestions. CLOTHING Because of daily art and craft activities, we strongly advise parents to dress children in play clothing.
