GOALS FOR
TODAY and TOMORROW
After an intensive study of congregational and community needs, the following long range goals were selected for our congregation's life at a congregational meeting on October 28, 2001.
STRENGTHS TO BUILD ON
:
Continue to provide experiences that deepen our relationship to God.
Continue and increase our concerns for the children and youth of the church. Maintain and strengthen our commitment for children and youth activities and involvement.
SOMETHING THAT NEEDS TO BE IMPROVED IN OUR CONGREGATIONAL LIFE:
Make positive efforts and take actions to involve young adults in all aspects of the church.
Enhance and strengthen music as a component of the worship experience.
MISSION TO OUR COMMUNITY AND WORLD:
Learn about and respond to the issues of education, poverty and racism in Lancaster.
Raise awareness of our connection with Christian communities around the world, through partnering, exchanges, etc.
ASPIRATIONS FOR THE NEXT FIVE YEARS:
Move off the plateau of our current congregational size, providing staff for existing needs and congregational growth.
Improve the congregation's willingness and ability to share their faith and ministry with others.
